I wish there were cute ways to call everything pregnancy related instead of their rather unpleasant regular terms. "Contractions" are referred to as "rushes" by Ina May (famous midwife extraordinaire), but me wanting to write how I think I lost two little chunks of my mucous plug this afternoon is stuck getting called just that, surely leaving readers a little less interested in reading further. Regardless, cooter snot is exciting to me, even if it doesn't necessarily mean labor is that imminent; women can walk around for weeks afterward.
